Senior Accountant - MFB and Fintech at Infytel Communications

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant with strong experience in Microfinance Banking (MFB) and/or Fintech. The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and support business decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
• Perform bank, wallet, and transaction reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements (CBN, tax filings)
• Manage general ledger and journal entries
• Monitor loan portfolios and fintech transactions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits
• Maintain internal controls and financial processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) or in progress
• 4–7 years experience, including MFB or fintech
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software

Preferred

• Experience with payment systems, wallets, or core banking platforms
• Prior experience in a fintech or startup environment
