The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the organization’s premises, assets, staff, and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
The role involves monitoring surveillance equipment, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, suspicious activity, or hazards.
Operate surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical situations, alarms, or security breaches.
Write and submit daily activity logs, incident reports, and security records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and access regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of SSCE / OND / equivalent qualification (or as required by employer).
Previous experience in security or a related field is an advantage.
Knowledge of security operations, safety procedures, and emergency response.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
