Secondary School Igbo Teacher at Spring of Life and Fountain of Wisdom Schools

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive Igbo language lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and instructional guidelines.
• Promote fluency in spoken and written Igbo, while fostering an appreciation for Igbo culture, history, and values.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using the Igbo language.
• Utilize varied teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their language development.
• Actively engage in professional development to enhance teaching skills and expand knowledge of modern approaches to indigenous language instruction.

Requirements:

• A strong practicing Spirit-filled Christian, with a deep commitment to Christian values and principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Igbo Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Igbo at the secondary school level.
• Deep knowledge of Igbo language, literature, and cultural heritage.
• Passion for education and a genuine interest in preserving and promoting the Igbo language.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
