Secondary Computer Teacher at Spring of Life and Fountain of Wisdom Schools

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive Computer Science lessons that align with the school's curriculum and instructional guidelines.
• Teach a range of computer-related subjects, computer systems, cybersecurity, digital literacy, and emerging technologies.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity in the digital realm.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including hands-on projects, multimedia resources, collaborative activities, and technology integration, to enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Encourage students to explore emerging technologies, understand ethical considerations in the digital world, and develop responsible digital citizenship.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support individualized learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate Computer Science with other subjects and promote innovative thinking.
• Stay updated with current technological advancements, and pedagogical approaches to continually enhance teaching methods and content knowledge.
• Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to promote open communication and a positive school-home partnership.

Requirements:

• A strong practicing Spirit-filled Christian, with a deep commitment to Christian values and principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or license in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Proven experience teaching Computer Science or related subjects at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, computer systems, web development, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports academic growth and personal development.
• Proficiency in integrating technology, coding platforms, and multimedia resources into Computer Science instruction.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest technological trends and pedagogical approaches.
