    Retail Shop Canvasser

    Main Objective of the Job

    • The Retail Shop Canvasser is responsible for driving customer acquisition through active field engagement and direct marketing within the shop’s catchment area.
    • The role focuses primarily on onboarding customers for HBB (Home Broadband) and Smartcash products, increasing brand visibility, and contributing directly to shop revenue growth.
    • The role focuses on lead generation, sales closure, and activation ensuring high-quality customer experience and compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Acquire and onboard new customers for: Home broadband (HBB) & Smartcash (SC).
    • Conduct daily field canvassing within assigned territories (markets, residential areas, business clusters, fuel stations, etc.).
    • Educate prospective customers on product benefits, pricing, and activation process.
    • Generate and convert qualified leads into successful activations.
    • Submit daily acquisition reports and performance updates.
    • Support in-shop marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
    • Track each lead until activation is complete.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    HBB Acquisition Target:

    • Monthly HBB activation target: 50 ODUs. A minimum achievement of 25 ODUs per month to qualify for variable pay.

    Smartcash Acquisition Target:

    • Monthly Smartcash onboarding target: 75 wallet activations. A minimum of 50 successfully onboarded and funded wallets is required to qualify for variable pay. Each wallet activated must have a minimum initial recharge of N500.
    • Active and funded accounts ratio.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification
    • Previous sales or field marketing experience is an advantage
    • Strong communication and persuasion skills
    • Ability to work independently and meet targets
    • Basic digital literacy (smartphone usage for onboarding).
