    Recovery Officers- Ikeja

    The Recovery Officer is responsible for managing the recovery of outstanding debts from customers and ensuring compliance with the company’s credit policies. This role involves engaging clients professionally, negotiating repayment plans, and taking proactive steps to minimize financial losses while maintaining positive customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contact clients with overdue accounts through calls, emails, and visits to secure repayment.
    • Negotiate repayment terms and schedules that are favorable to both the customer and the company.
    • Maintain accurate records of all recovery activities, including communications and payments received.
    • Liaise with the credit control team to monitor and track overdue accounts.
    • Recommend legal action for unresponsive or defaulting debtors where necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with debt recovery regulations and company policies.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly recovery reports for management review.
    • Educate customers on payment policies to reduce future defaults.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage timely payments.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Proven experience in debt recovery, credit control, or collections is an advantage.
    • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.
    • Knowledge of relevant debt recovery laws and best practices.
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
