    Quantity Surveyor

    Role Description

    • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all building and civil engineering project costs, ensuring value for money while meeting quality and legal standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Cost Planning and Estimation:

    • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for projects.
    • Analyze architectural plans and designs to estimate project costs.
    • Assist in tendering and procurement processes.

    Project Cost Control:

    • Monitor and control project costs from inception to completion.
    • Conduct regular cost analysis to ensure budgets are maintained.
    • Identify and report potential cost overruns and provide recommendations.

    Contract Administration:

    • Manage contracts, including preparation, negotiation, and agreement of final accounts.
    • Ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
    • Handle claims, variations, and disputes effectively.

    Valuation and Reporting:

    • Conduct interim and final valuations of work completed.
    • Prepare and submit accurate financial reports and forecasts.
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess risks to minimize project impacts.
    • Provide recommendations to mitigate risks effectively.

    Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain high standards of quality in all cost management activities.

    Requirements:

    • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Professional certification (e.g., RICS, NIQS) is an advantage.
    • Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management in construction projects.
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management and quantity surveying software.
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
