Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE) Manager at George Houston Resources Limited

Job Duties / Description 

• Develop, implement, and monitor QHSSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure workplace safety.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Oversee incident investigations and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
• Train and guide employees on QHSSE practices to build a safety-conscious culture.
• Monitor and evaluate environmental impact and ensure sustainability initiatives.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors, on QHSSE matters.
• Prepare regular reports on QHSSE performance for management review.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in QHSSE management within the oil & gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Proven ability to drive a safety culture and enforce compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for effective risk management.
• Must be based in or willing to work in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
