    Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Supporting other quality personnel (Coordinators and Inspectors) in monitoring Contractor’s work execution during the construction phase;
    • Ensuring that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current;
    • Reviewing all inspection reports for compliance;
    • Assisting the Head of QA/QC in the organisation, maintenance and control of the quality management system;
    • Liaising with the site engineers and providing assistance when requested;
    • Implementing the Corrective Action Request and Non-conforming Products Request procedures and following up on resolution of nonconformities, including maintaining the logs and reporting to the Head of QA/QC;
    • Assist the QC manager and construction manager in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities
    • Coordinating with the contractor and other stakeholders in resolution of site problems;
    • Attending and actively participating in site technical meetings;
    • Reviewing drawings and articulating quality-related concerns to site engineers;
    • Understanding relevant codes and specifications and articulating same to site engineers;
    • Reviewing work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the clients contract specifications;
    • Ensuring that all reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner, including special reports, daily reports, weekly reports, monthly reports, non-conformance reports, issues and risks reports, etc.;
    • Compliance with the site’s health and safety regulations;
    • Management of project audit program;
    • Preparation and implementation of the project inspection strategy to cover all project phases;
    • Designing and producing creative and accurate work reports and records templates when necessary or requested

    Requirements

    • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2.2 from a reputable institution (a higher degree could be an advantage);
    • Minimum 5 years experience in QA / QC onshore or offshore activities in the civil construction industry;
    • ISO 9001: 2015 Internal Auditor certification(Advantage)
