    QHSE Officer

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists the Group and Local QHSE Representatives on the internal audits.
    • Assists the Local QHSE Coordinator in the administrative work.
    • Collects data from relevant department, updates the QHSE weekly report(s) and other reports and communicate them to the Group QHSE with respect to the deadlines.
    • Prepares and delivers weekly QHSE awareness sessions.
    • Submits a weekly report to the Local QHSE Supervisor / Country Head summarizing completed, current and planned activities.
    • Generates Reports and submits them to the Direct Supervisor and Group QHSE on the performance of the IMS and suggest improvement when needed.
    • Consolidates Total Waste of all the departments within the operation.
    • Consolidates total chemical product being used in all the departments and ensures they are using recycled products where feasible.
    • Minimizes raw material usage.
    • Suggests safety instructions, procedures and policies when needed.
    • Conducts in coordination with the QHSE Representatives regular inspections to assess environmental and health & safety plan adherence as well as identify potential hazards and risks and ensures safe work practices are being followed.
    • Communicates and documents corrective actions.
    • Undertakes regular inspections of the workplace (office, Site, Factory) premises to identify any potential hazards.
    • Ensures the implementation of all policies and procedures in all i engineering operations.
    • Keeps track and evidence of calibration of tools and equipment.
    • Follows up on Spot Audits when requested.
    • Makes sure that a risk assessment is conducted on every site in all operations.
    • Follows up with every department to make sure that it has an updated Risk Assessment.
    • Ensures Compliance Sheets are being updated.
    • Ensures that inductions and toolbox meetings are conducted on every site of i engineering.
    • Demonstrates problem solving, conflict management, and team building skills to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals.
    • Ensures all employees have access to SharePoint.
    • Submits related reports to the Country Head, Group and Local QHSE Representatives when required.
    • Improves employee environmental awareness.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

    • 0-1 year of relative work experience.
    • Ability and willingness to travel overseas or domestically up to 50% of the time.
    • An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning.
    • Ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
