    Project Officer, Financial Inclusion

    The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking to recruit Project Officers, Financial Inclusion (three (3) slots) to coordinate financial literacy sessions, facilitate cooperative registration with banks, and support fintech onboarding for mobile transactions. These roles will be offered on a two (2) year fixed term contract, subject to availability of funding and each will be based in one of the three states in Nigeria, (Lagos, Kano and Nasarawa).

    Key Responsibilities include.

    • Support implementation of the Financial Inclusion component within the state in alignment with national programme strategy and workplans.
    • Facilitate cooperative registration with financial institutions and digital finance platforms to expand access to savings, credit, and insurance services.
    • Organize and deliver financial literacy, bookkeeping, and business management training for youth and women agripreneurs.
    • Work with financial service providers (banks, MFIs, fintechs, and insurers) to pilot customized loan and insurance products for agribusinesses.
    • Promote digital payment adoption and mobile money usage within farmer groups, cooperatives, and market networks. 

    About you

    The ideal candidate should have experience implementing projects focussing on financial inclusion for youth, women, persons with disabilities, or internally displaced persons. Experience in building partnerships with banks, fintechs, and insurance providers, including delivery of inclusive and digital financial services, financial literacy, and business management training programmes is required.

    The position holder should have strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple priorities in an organised manner in addition to excellent stakeholder engagement skills within local communities.

    About our offer

    The starting gross salary on offer for this role is from NGN 9,856,248, - NGN 11,255,100 gross per annum, depending on experience.
