Project Engineer – Civil and Mechanical (Lagos and Port Harcout) at WTS Energy

Our client is seeking to hire a project engineer who will provide field supervisory support for civil and mechanical projects within the development plan and energy portfolio. This role, with positions available in Lagos and Port Harcourt, will focus on managing facilities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and contributing to engineering activities for both onshore and offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide field supervisory support for civil and mechanical projects in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
• Oversee technical personnel managing existing and new facilities.
• Assist in the development, execution, and coordination of civil/structural and facilities engineering activities.
• Contribute to research, development, standardization, and knowledge sharing.
• Supervise structural maintenance works and conduct quality control tests.
• Ensure projects comply with design and contract specifications.
• Assist in managing and developing a high-caliber Civil Engineering team.
• Manage design activities outsourced to contractors.
• Support the implementation of new technologies for business challenges.
• Provide strategic input into facilities development and management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience engaging with NAPIMS, DPR, and other NNPC agencies.
• Familiarity with Project Management and Agile work practices.
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards and procedures.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Detail-oriented and methodical approach to work.
