Programme Officer Gender-Based Violence, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support at Health and Development Support Programme (HANDS)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies to enhance support services for individuals affected by gender-based violence and mental health challenges.
2. Coordinate with stakeholders and partners to ensure effective implementation of programmes addressing GBV, mental health, and psychosocial support.
3. Supervise and support staff at the Katsina office to ensure efficient operations and delivery of quality services in the areas of GBV, mental health, and psychosocial support.
4. Report regularly to the Senior Programme officer in Katsina on progress, challenges, and achievements in addressing GBV, mental health, and psychosocial support.
5. Prepare and submit comprehensive quarterly and annual reports to donors to demonstrate impact and accountability in the GBV/MHSS programmes.
6. Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events related to GBV, mental health, and psychosocial support initiatives as assigned by the line Manager.
7. Monitor and evaluate programme activities addressing GBV, mental health, and psychosocial support to assess effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
8. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and best practices in addressing gender-based violence, mental health, and psychosocial support.
