This role requires a strong mix of technical understanding, local market expertise, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own and manage technical relationships with Nigerian banks and mobile money operators
Drive resolution of incidents and outages by working directly with provider engineering/support teams

Deep understanding of Nigerian payment methods: NIP transfers, virtual accounts, mobile money (e.g., OPay), USSD, and card acquiring
Strong experience working with bank/payment APIs, handling callback/webhook issues, and understanding payment reconciliation flows
Confident with technical tools like Postman, Kibana, Datadog, and custom monitoring/reporting dashboards
Able to communicate with engineers on a technical level and translate for non-technical stakeholders
Excellent at managing provider relationships and pushing for performance improvements
Proactive, structured, and comfortable working across time zones with distributed teams
Bonus: hands-on experience at a PSP, digital wallet, or bank that built or maintained integrations
