    Procurement Coordinator

    Does this shoe fit you?

    Our client in the Oil and Gas Industry is looking for a Procurement Coordinator who will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment and services required for projects, while maintaining adequate stock levels and staying under budget. The preferred candidate should typically come from an engineering background with production or design work experience, and be able to confidently translate project requirements into specifications for procurement of materials, equipment and services. He or she should be very competent at handling procurement tasks related to purchasing, expediting and bid administration.

    Responsibilities 

    • Clarify bid queries with vendors
    • Coordinate procurement operations with vendors and stakeholders
    • Draft sourcing schedules based on project plans
    • Gather data on vendor performance to propose improvements
    • Gather feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of current sourcing strategies
    • Highlight sourcing issues for management's action
    • Maintain procurement database and documentation
    • Maintain sourcing documentation in the procurement management system
    • Maintain vendor information and records
    • Manage vendor contracts
    • Manage vendors' conformance to delivery schedules and product specifications
    • Monitor vendors' performance
    • Prepare reports on assessments of bids received
    • Process payments to vendors
    • Source resumes from database and company approved sites
    • Review resumes and select personnel in compliance with client requirement
    • Collate timesheets, reports & invoices and submit to client

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years supply chain, procurement or project management work experience
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities
    • Strong communication and analytical skills
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Project Management or relevant field.
    • An advanced degree level in Supply Chain or Engineering + CIPS Level 4 will be an added advantage
    • Relevant Oil & Gas Industry experience
