Job Summary

• Our client  is looking for a junior printing operator who be in charge of raw materials, supplies, machines and equipment resources maximizing results in productivity, quality in a timely basis with a minimum cost.
• Ensures coordination of the department efforts to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) like safety, OEE, labor efficiency, quality, schedule attainment, material usage variance and strongly supports the success of new product launches and productivity projects and overall Operations objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review run sheet in to determine docket number and job specifications such as ink color, carton label, in lid print, quantity and running order that is required for the product. Must be able to run the labeler as a printer to meet production demands.
• Set up and adjust the Labeler and printer related equipment such as filling ink and glue reservoirs, adjusting for glue application, adjusting label location, print and label quality as well as bar code application.
• Troubleshoot label and printer application equipment, printer related equipment, bundle wrapping equipment and take corrective action as required.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions making necessary adjustments.
• Actively observe equipment, equipment indicators, monitors and other instruments to detect malfunctions and ensure equipment is operating according to specifications.

• Monitor labelling and printing machines and adjust as required for jammed materials or defective products, clear blockages as required.
• Clean and lubricate machine and perform another routine machine maintenance
• Monitor and check production during run to assess conformance to quality specifications using devices and visual verification
• Complete and maintain production reports and records
• Communicate with and assist other operators and workers to adjust, start-up or shutdown machines as required
• Clean work areas and equipment, removing scrap, dust, glue and other by-products from machinery and surrounding areas
• Perform all work with adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures
• Perform all tasks assigned, participate in specific training programs to keep skills current and as determined by the needs of the company'
• Assist Senior Operator on Preventive Maintenance on machines and equipment’s.
• Proper Handing over to another shift.

Requirements

• Diploma in Printing Technology or equivalent experience in industry
• Understanding of different printing processes and machines
• Can Read and write English to perform shift documentation.
• Manage work with Minimum supervision.
• Can catch the visual defects on Products being produced.
• Can learn machine operation process and able to start and shut down machine.
• Maintain good working relationship.
• Knowledge of different kinds of Label Stocks used in printing.
• Experience in the cold foil, embossing jobs etc
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent attendance is a must.

• Ability to work with others.
