Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies in line with curriculum standards and Montessori-aligned principles.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, respected, and valued.
• Assess student learning and progress through observations, assignments, and assessments; provide regular feedback and support.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student growth and classroom activities.
• Incorporate hands-on activities and learning materials to make abstract concepts tangible and relatable.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary learning experiences and school-wide events.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and embrace innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant field with 1 - 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a lower elementary or early primary setting.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn Montessori educational philosophy.
• Passion for working with children and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to design creative and effective learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and reflective teaching practice.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• The role requires active engagement with childrenstanding, walking, bending, and sitting on the floor as needed.
• Typical 8-hour workday within a classroom setting; occasional involvement in weekend or evening school events may be required.
