    Portfolio Manager

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The job holder will work to ensure:

    • Administration of all the mutual funds under management, privately managed  funds, proprietary investments
    • Effective cash management across all the funds and portfolios
    • Participation in our sound portfolio management strategy by providing the  necessary data for our decision-making process.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Decision-making processes by providing  strategic recommendations and supporting data analysis
    • Prompt and accurate execution of transactions resulting from investment  decisions
    • Realizing the divisions objectives in line with the company’s vision and the sophisticated needs of our clients are met
    • Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial  statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable  investment strategies
    • Analyzing investment opportunities, legal information, and financial data to  make recommendations
    • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new  investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
    • Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly status reports on Portfolios’ performance for effective monitoring of the performance vis-à-vis the stipulated benchmark.
    • Reconciliation of Portfolios’ assets on a weekly basis
    • Monitoring the asset mix of the public managed Funds to ensure full  compliance with the Trust Deeds and Investment Agreement specified by  Clients
    • Accurate reporting of portfolios’ performance to clients on a quarterly basis
    • Develop and implement automated report for manual processes
    • Generating performance reports by carrying out comparative analysis of the  portfolios under management in relation to performance of competitors
    • Liaise with other Fund managers and network with industry professionals
    • Working closely with team on special projects as needed
    • Creating reports, summaries, and updates

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

    • Highly  developed  business  and  relationship  management  skills  and demonstrated ability to cultivate productive business networks.
    • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
    • Must demonstrate skills in communication, negotiation and presentation
    • Strong numerical and mathematical affinity
    • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
    • Excellent research and writing abilities.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • A team player who can work independently.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics, Finance, Accounting or any other  related field
    • Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics, and economics
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICES

    • Providing operational support to enable achievement of financial target of the  company
    • Managing the liquidity gaps of Portfolios and ensuring efficient cash  management
    • Liaising with counterparties and Group Treasury for placements, roll-overs and  liquidations
    • Executing clients trade request and ensuring accurate booking
    • Provision of funding for Client liquidation and settlement of Trades
    • Effective attention to compliance and audit issues to achieve zero regulatory  infractions.
