• As a Linux POS terminal developer, you will design, develop, and maintain software for Point of Sale (POS) terminals, ensuring smooth and secure transactions. This role involves integrating various payment technologies, maintaining security protocols, and ensuring compatibility with different hardware and software. 

Responsibilities and requirements:

Designing and Developing POS Applications:

• Developers create and maintain applications for POS terminals, including those running on Android and Linux platforms.

Integrating Payment Technologies:

• They work with various payment systems and standards, such as EMV, ISO 8583, and ISO 7816, to ensure secure and reliable transactions. 

Ensuring Security:

• Security is paramount, with developers focusing on protecting sensitive payment data and implementing security measures to prevent fraud. 

Optimizing Performance:

• They optimize application performance for POS terminals, ensuring smooth and quick transaction processing.

Testing and Debugging:

• Developers thoroughly test their applications and debug any issues to ensure stability and reliability.

Collaborating with Teams:

• They work closely with product, engineering, and merchant support teams to align solutions with business goals and user needs. 

Staying Up-to-Date:

• They stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and security standards to maintain a competitive edge.

Skills and Experience:

Programming Languages:

• Strong programming skills in languages like C, C++.

Embedded Systems Development:

• Experience with developing for embedded systems is highly desirable. 

Payment Technology Knowledge:

• Familiarity with payment standards and protocols, such as EMV, ISO 8583, and ISO 7816, is required.

Security Expertise:

• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with implementing security measures for payment processing is crucial.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging:

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with POS terminal applications and hardware.
