• The primary responsibility is focused on leading our efforts in placing YAPPI (Youths in Animation and Post-production Initaitives) Students into internships and full-time positions.
• The role is pivotal in building relationships with employers, understanding their hiring needs, and matching them with our talented students.
• This role requires entrepreneurial skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• The role delivers an exceptional level of service as well as, having an active role in driving efficiency and leading growth across all the categories.
• Our ideal Placement Officer must be willing to work closely with employers and students and is always eager to be a part of something new, creative, and dynamic. He/ She must be willing to build and maintain strong relationships with clients across markets, becoming a trusted and valued advisor and delivery specialist.

Key Responsibilities;

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential employers to secure internship and full-time placement opportunities for students.
• Create and implement a comprehensive placement strategy that aligns with the goals of YAPPI Youths in Works and meets the needs of both students and employers.
• Work with students to prepare them for the job market, including resume reviews, Portfolio building, interview preparation, and career counseling.
• Effectively match students with appropriate internship and full-time job opportunities based on their skills, interests, and career aspirations.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging job trends and opportunities that align with the skills and interests of YAPPI students.
• Organize and manage networking events, job fairs, and other activities to facilitate connections between students and employers.
• Educate YAPPI Students/Alumni on job readiness and employability skills. 
• Track and report on placement metrics, providing regular updates on progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Ensure Youths with disabilities are placed in line with the approved Disability inclusion checklist.
• Manage the launch and day-to-day operations of the YAPPI platform, including Onboarding of students and employers.
• Oversee the job posting process, ensuring all postings are clear, concise, and meet employer requirements.
• Manage the communication process between students and employers on the YAPPI platform.
• Track and analyze platform usage data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the user experience.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends in recruitment and job placement.
• Ensure appropriate and secure interactions between YAPPI Students and prospective employers, ensuring compliance with YAPPI's safeguarding policy and mutually agreed-upon terms.

Skills and qualifications required;

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources Management, with focus on recruitment/placement or any other related field. 
• Previous experience working with a Consulting firm, Creative Hub, or the educational sector is an added advantage 
• Bachelor's degree in a people management-related field or any other related field 
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, students, employers, and colleagues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and provide guidance.
• Ability to gather and analyze data to provide relevant job placement advice.
• Networking Skills: ability to develop and maintain a network of industry contacts, employers, and alumni.
• Creative thinking to match candidates with suitable job opportunities.
• Proficiency in using job placement software, applicant tracking systems, and other relevant technology.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and online job boards for job posting and candidate sourcing.
• Sales and Marketing Skills: Ability to promote job seekers to potential employers and market job opportunities to suitable candidates.
• Critical thinking to evaluate the effectiveness of job placement programs and make data-driven decisions.
