The Piping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all piping engineering, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities across project sites. The role ensures that piping works are executed in accordance with approved engineering designs, project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements while supporting the successful delivery of Oilserv's EPC pipeline and gas infrastructure projects. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, commissioning teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. This aligns with Oilserv's emphasis on coordinating engineering and construction interfaces across EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all piping construction, fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, reinstatement, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
Ensure piping works comply with approved engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
Coordinate daily construction activities with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Commissioning teams.
Monitor piping work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
Review piping drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and technical documentation before execution.
Coordinate material availability and ensure timely delivery of piping materials, valves, fittings, and associated equipment.
Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety procedures.
Coordinate welding, NDT, hydrotesting, flushing, cleaning, and mechanical completion activities.
Resolve construction-related technical issues and escalate engineering concerns where necessary.
Participate in site inspections, walkdowns, punch listing, and system handover activities.
Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and company engineering standards.
Monitor productivity, quality, and HSE performance throughout project execution.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Participate in client meetings and coordinate responses to technical queries.
Support procurement by reviewing vendor documentation and technical submittals for piping materials and equipment.
Ensure all piping activities are executed in accordance with Oilserv's HSE policies and permit-to-work system.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical, Production, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in piping construction, pipeline installation, or EPC project execution within the oil and gas industry.
Experience working on pipeline, gas processing, refinery, compressor station, or EPC construction projects.
Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, GA drawings, alignment sheets, and engineering specifications.
Familiarity with international codes and standards including ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, ISO, and AWS.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 or MS Project is an added advantage.
COREN registration is an added advantage and may be required for certain projects.
