    Pastry Chef

    Duties

    • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation, of pastry department.
    • Responsible for items in the pastry kitchen, food quality, cost control, labor, staff supervision creating menus.
    • Conduct required department meetings.
    • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as puff pastry, cakes, cookies, pies, breads, dessert,cake decorations etc. following standard recipes and practices.
    • Able to create and develop, design, and implement new ideas and desserts in line with changing trends to engage the interest of customers.
    • Follow proper handling and right temperature of all pastry products and ensure subordinates follow culinary standards and responsibilities.
    • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to the supervisor immediately.
    • Assist in determining how dessert should be served and create decorative pastry displays.
