    Operations Manager

    UNIT/DEPARTMENT:         Operations

    REPORT TO:                      Head of Operations

    JOB FUNCTIONS:             Coordinate the entire Operations Management as well as nationwide physical distribution management

    Job Specification/Requirement

    •  Responsible for direct ground and Hub administration/control
    • Calculation and allocation of fuel/gas to drivers for road network logistics operations.
    • Tracking and monitoring of logistics drivers within the region
    • FSR/OBCs daily operations management
    • Ensure effective daily routine pick-ups and maintain proper and accurate documentation.
    • Ensure that shipments are conscientiously recorded in the daily delivery route sheets before couriers embark on their daily delivery activities.
    • Ensure effective and timely delivery of consignments within the city and on-forwarding locations on agreed delivery time frame.
    • Ensure effective monitoring of E-Commerce activities (pickups, deliveries and daily remittance of cash to Finance department.
    • Reconfirm all undelivered shipments in line with the returned reasons.
    • Submit operations weekly/monthly pickup and delivery productivity analysis report
    • Weekly/Monthly Operations reports to include Logistics   vehicle/consignment movement report; Weekly package/volume generation report; Inbound and   outbound report; Delivery/pickup productivity analysis report; Service failure/incident reports.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • B.Sc./HND holder
    • Minimum of eight (8) years proven experience in related field  in courier/ logistics industry.

    • Be entrepreneurial, adaptable and able to work on own initiatives, handle changes and stress
    • Be performance driven and goal oriented
    • Creative and ability to distil ideas to actionable steps that impact culture and capability
    • Ability to communicate (Verbal & Written)
    • Have professional drive and commercial sensibility
    • Honesty and integrity
    • Strong negotiation skill
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance and get results.
    • Hands-on individual with strong work ethics
