Job Description

• This position is responsible for leading and managing the Air freight port operational and logistics activities and field officers, measuring and delivering quality customer service, and managing operational budgets.
• This position interacts with Sales/Customer Service/Pricedesk/Courier, External customers, ensuring that enquiries are addressed promptly and appropriately, as well as Regulatory Agencies & Port stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operational duties to include coordination with airlines, regulatory agencies, and truckers for the import and export of shipments.
• Undertake the complete process of shipment, including arranging for pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation, forwarding, follow-up with tracking and tracing to the final destination, and data quality requirements.
• Immediately report, resolve, or escalate problems, operational disputes, or discrepancies regarding shipments as appropriate and timely
• Familiar with and stay abreast of all relevant documentation, local import regulations, and restrictions applicable to Nigeria
• Proactively handle all issues that could arise in a job’s clearance process and keep the customer service informed of developments
• Ensure proper job documentation by maintaining a daily booking list on a daily basis for ready reference.
• Ensure proper filings are done in an easily accessible manner for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• OND / Degree holder in Social Science, Management, and other related fields
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, and air freight operations will be a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.

Salary
N85,000 - N100,000 monthly.
