Job Summary
The Crusher Mechanical Technician at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations and maintenance of crusher systems and associated equipment by executing inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Key Duties and responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspection of Impact crushers / roller crushers, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, apron feeders, Gearboxes, motors, pulleys, idlers, and couplings.
- Identify abnormalities like vibration, noise, misalignment, overheating.
- Ensure timely preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Maintain inspection records and checklists.
- Attend to equipment breakdowns promptly and ensure minimum downtime.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
- Coordinate with stores for spare parts and ensure availability.
- Prepare breakdown reports and recommend improvements.
- Perform laser alignment of Motor-gearbox assemblies, Couplings and drive systems.
- Ensure proper alignment to avoid vibration and premature failures.
- Carry out balancing and precision checks where required.

- Conduct toolbox talks before maintenance jobs.
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Requirements
- OND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of Five (5) years of relevant working experience as a Crusher Mechanical Technician.
- Strong knowledge of crusher systems and material handling equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in laser alignment, hydraulic system and maintenance tools.
- Leadership and team management ability.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office / maintenance systems).

We are looking for a competent Safety Officer to participate in implementing the DCP approved occupational safety program, analysing and administering various components of the safety programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor DCP employees, contracts and subcontracts to ensure compliance safety rules and regulations.
- Ensue all persons including the public, with proximity of DCP premises sites and operating locations are not exposed to the risks of health and safety.
- Ensure that work is carries out in a safe manner and acceptable standards with minimum risk to all persons, property, equipment and materials.
- Report near miss, unsafe act, unsafe conditions of contracts and subcontracts to DCP Management.
- Ensure that contracts carry out toolbox on daily basis before starting of any work.
- Ensure that all necessary fire apparatus on site is maintained in serviceable condition and regular inspected.
- Ensure that necessary contact is made for emergency call out of medical facilities in case of serious accident or illness.
- Upon receipt of a report of noncompliance or any condition which poses a serious or imminent danger to health or health, issues a request for immediate corrective action from the contractors.
- The elimination of risk of injury of all persons affected by DCP operations and prevention of damage to all property and plant.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Head, Health, Safety and Environment.

The General Manager, Technical/Operations is responsible for the end‑to‑end leadership of all sugar refining and technical functions at DSR Apapa. The role has full accountability for Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Utilities, and Quality Control, ensuring optimal refinery performance across the entire sugar processing value chain.
The position oversees all core refining processes including raw sugar handling, affination, melt clarification, filtration, evaporation, crystallization, centrifugation, drying, packaging, and storage, ensuring high yield recovery, product quality, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.

The General Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure efficient conversion of raw sugar into high-quality refined sugar in line with ICUMSA and regulatory standards.

It also drives process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring sustainable and cost-effective refinery operations aligned with corporate objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sugar Refining Operations
- Lead and optimize all stages of sugar refining:
affination, clarification, filtration, evaporation, crystallization, centrifugation, drying, and packaging.
- Ensure efficient raw sugar melt and purification processes to achieve required colour and quality specifications.
- Monitor and improve sucrose recovery, massecuite performance, and sugar losses across the refining cycle.
Production & Yield Optimization
- Drive initiatives to maximize refinery throughput and recovery rates while minimizing process losses (molasses, filter cake, moisture).
- Establish and monitor mass balance systems and process KPIs.
- Optimize steam consumption, energy use, and cycle times across operations.
Engineering, Utilities & Maintenance
- Oversee Engineering and Maintenance functions, ensuring high equipment uptime and reliability.
- Ensure optimal performance of critical refinery assets such as evaporators, vacuum pans, centrifugals, dryers, and packaging systems.
- Manage utilities including boilers, turbines, compressed air, and water treatment systems.
