    Operational Readiness Officer

    • As an Operational Readiness Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all materials, equipment, and projects within Ikeja Electric’s network meet established technical standards and quality expectations.
    • Your work will support operational excellence and compliance by inspecting materials, certifying projects, and monitoring ongoing initiatives.

    Your contributions will include:

    Quality Assurance & Inspection:

    • Carry out detailed inspections and spot-checks on materials and equipment to confirm they meet technical specifications and quality standards.
    • Reject and report any items that fall short of approved thresholds.

    Project Evaluation & Certification:

    • Monitor ongoing projects and certify completed work to ensure alignment with engineering standards.
    • Support the review of equipment specifications during the procurement process to prevent quality risks.
    • Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct field visits to assess compliance across project sites and business units. Compile and submit timely quality control reports, providing insights to guide operational improvements.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with teams across procurement, engineering, and operations to resolve quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and support consistent adherence to quality expectations.

    Standardization & Risk Prevention:

    • Promote the use of standardized inspection procedures and tools.

    • Customer Centricity: Ensure materials andprojects meet quality expectations that directly impact service delivery, network reliability, and customer satisfaction.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality-related risks—such as defective materials, substandard installations, or non-compliant equipment.
    • People Leadership: Promote a culture of accountability and quality consciousness by influencing site teams and supporting field staff with clear standards and guidance.
    • Entrepreneurship: Proactively suggest improvements to inspection processes and cost-effective ways to enhance project quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
    • Organizational Learning: Apply insights from site evaluations and control reports to recommend process improvements and support continuous quality enhancement.
    • Change Management: Support new quality frameworks or engineering standards by engaging stakeholders, encouraging adoption, and aligning execution with broader operational goals.

    Minimum Requirement

    • This opportunity is Entry Level role, suited for Officer to Supervisor.
    • The role involves working across technical, procurement, and project teams to ensure quality control of materials, equipment, and project execution. This position reports directly to the Operational Readiness Supervisor.

    Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree or its equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering disciplines.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 0-3 years post-qualification experience.
    • Certifications in Engineering / Membership of a professional body e.g. NSE, COREN is an added advantage.
