Medical Statistician at Idmibok International (360 HSDC)

Job Overview

• As part of the activities to enhance surveillance on the impact of the next-generation ITNs the Medical Statistician will be required to conduct statistical studies to generate data and insights, to innovate, plan and support the surveillance activities.
• He/She will be responsible for generating ideas and then designing, implementing and analysing clinical studies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analysis plans to ensure the best statistical methods are developed and utilized.
• Write specifications for files, consistency checks, tables, and calculations used to collect and analyze data from a variety of sources.
• Interpret analyses and prepares exhibits for reports and presentations.
• Interface with non-technical users to assist with data interpretation and understanding of results.
• Demonstrable experience in developing monitoring and/or evaluation frameworks or methodologies for strategic plans;
• Demonstrable experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis;
• Experience in electronic and mobile data capturing tools (eg ODK, CSPro, Survey CTO);
• Prepare derived datasets for analysis using SAS
• Author statistical analysis plans

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Physiology and other related studies
• A Master's Degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Medical Statistics or Health Data Analytics is preferable
• At least 3 years experience in Pharmaceutical development and Clinical research, Biological or Health data analytical research
• Strong statistical skills and knowledge clinical trial methodology
• Experience with analysis planning and reporting of clinical trials
• Should be able to create a database and document analysis appropriately for dissemination
• Should be able to provide consultation on statistical method such as formulating and solving problems utilizing statistics in the analysis of complex data sets and serving as an expert on sampling, demography, trend analysis, computer techniques, data weighing and the utilization of progression analysis
• Should be able to provide deliverables in a timely manner
