Medical Laboratory Technician at Heritage Kidney and Medical Care (HKMC)

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and competent Medical Laboratory Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing laboratory samples, ensuring accurate test results, and maintaining laboratory safety and quality standards to support effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic laboratory tests (FBC, PCV, serology, blood grouping, urinalysis).
• Collect and label blood and other samples correctly.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and equipment.
• Support quality control procedures.
• Enter test results accurately into the EMR system.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
• Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in testing and reporting.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
