Medical Laboratory Scientist at Medbury Healthcare Group

Job Objective:

The role performs various diagnostic tests in line with company procedures  and generates accurate results in a timely manner. The role prioritizes positive patient  engagement and interaction.   

Responsibilities: 

• Perform diagnostic tests such as hematology, biochemistry, and microbiology 
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment 
• Process and analyze samples with accuracy 
• Record and report results via the Laboratory Information Management System  (LIMS) 
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols 
• Provide general support to patients at the lifecheck centres 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Accountabilities: 

• Turnaround time for test results (<24 hours for routine tests) 
• Error rate in sample analysis (<1%) 
• Equipment downtime (<5% of operational hours) 

Requirements: 

• BMLS 
• Experience with laboratory equipment 
• Knowledge of relevant standards 
• 2 years\' experience in a similar role  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
