Medical Laboratory Scientist - Awoyaya at Clinix Healthcare Nigeria

• Clinix Healthcare is seeking a qualified, experienced, and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team at the Awoyaya branch. We are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic services to support excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, and Serology.
• Collect, process, and analyze patient samples (blood, urine, body fluids, etc.) with strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring proper functioning.
• Interpret test results, prepare accurate laboratory reports, and ensure timely delivery to clinicians.
• Implement and maintain quality control and quality assurance protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all laboratory activities.
• Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and biohazard waste management.
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.

Requirements & Skills

• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• Strong practical knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and modern equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate with proficiency in laboratory information management systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).
• Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC experience in a reputable hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
• Experience in a multi-specialty healthcare facility is an added advantage.
