Mechanical Supervisor, Golden Penny Foods – Nigerian Eagle Flour Mills at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• To supervise and execute cost-effective and efficient mechanical maintenance, repair, and servicing of all machinery in the mills and mechanical workshop to ensure uninterrupted operations and optimal equipment performance.

The Job​

• Supervise maintenance and breakdown repairs of all depot machinery to ensure smooth operational continuity.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities to reduce machine downtime.
• Attend to breakdowns on key equipment such as conveyor systems, elevators, and plant generators.
• Perform routine maintenance of silo, seaside, and production machinery to ensure reliability.
• Install, service, and maintain industrial equipment including pumps, motors, valves, lifts, HVAC systems, and related components.
• Monitor mechanical operations to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and SOPs.
• Implement cost-effective maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and operational safety.
• Coordinate with site engineers to communicate existing faults and anticipate potential mechanical issues.

Qualification

• 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB
•  OND in Engineering
• NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) in a related discipline.

Experience:​​​

• Minimum of three years cognate experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial operations.

 The Person Must:​ ​

• Possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, and maintenance practices.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to supervise technical teams effectively.
• Be highly skilled in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical breakdowns under pressure.
• Have strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and reliability engineering.
