1.       COMPETENCE REQUIREMENT FOR THE JOB

• BSc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience in Mechanical Engineering role
• Knowledge retooling of different types of machines
• Practical knowledge of machines such as milling machines, air compressors, packaging machines and extruders and their maintenance regimes
• Ability to weld will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years work experience

2.       DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

• Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition
• Investigate and solve equipment failures
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient.
