    Maintenance Officer

    • Perform basic electrical repairs and ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
    • Complete overall building cleaning and maintenance.
    • Perform basic repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances.
    • Detect and report the need for major maintenance and repairs.
    • Manage budgets for repair/maintenance activities and ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and safety standards.
    • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
    • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance routines on equipment.
    • Inspect building’s structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
    • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimise costs.
    • Source for vendors as required
    • Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, janitors etc.) and external vendors/contractors.
    • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
    • Keep a record of all maintenance/repairs carried out.
    • Draft and maintain maintenance schedules for all appliances and equipment.
    • Draft and maintain maintenance checklists for the restaurant, production centre, and staff quarters.
    • Repair doors, ceilings, base, handrails, etc. as needed.
    • Present reports on facility maintenance and projects.
    • Other duties assigned by your manager.
