Maintenance Officer at Petcare Animal Hospital

Job Summary:

Petcare Animal Hospital is seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Officer to oversee facility maintenance, ensure smooth daily operations, and supervise maintenance-related activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with general maintenance, procurement, and logistics, as well as the ability to drive. This role does not require a university degree, but practical knowledge, strong supervisory skills, and a willingness to take initiative are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities within the hospital premises.
• Carry out routine inspection, repair, and upkeep of hospital facilities, equipment, and utilities.
• Ensure that the environment is safe, clean, and functional for staff, clients, and patients.
• Handle procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and other needed items while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, repairs, and inventory of tools/materials.
• Drive for official assignments as required (procurement, logistics, etc.).
• Supervise junior maintenance staff, artisans, or external contractors when engaged.
• Ensure timely reporting and resolution of maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in maintenance, facility management, or a related field.
• Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage procurement and negotiate with vendors.
• Practical problem-solving and multitasking ability.
• No formal degree required—technical/vocational skills are an added advantage.
