Maintenance Officer HVAC at Quality Foods Africa

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer (HVAC) to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal air quality and system efficiency for a comfortable and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning units, chillers, split systems, and ventilation systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Monitor HVAC system performance and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate service records and report maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other technical teams when necessary.

Requirements

• Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in HVAC system maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC tools, methods, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Must be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at height.
• Relevant trade license or certification is an added advantage.
