A reputable manufacturing/recycling company in Ogun State is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant General Manager who understands the machine from every angle—electrical, mechanical, and ICT systems—to support executive management in overseeing operations, maintenance, production efficiency, and administrative functions.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist the General Manager in coordinating daily operations, supervising multidisciplinary technical teams, ensuring efficient plant performance, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in Electrical Engineering, with working knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial ICT/automation, and demonstrate sound leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or recycling environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, industrial automation, ICT systems, power distribution, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to supervise multi-disciplinary technical staff and coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
• Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, as well as supporting basic industrial ICT/automation systems.
• Experience in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing day-to-day factory operations.
• Supervise electrical, mechanical, and ICT/automation maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Monitor production processes and support continuous improvement initiatives across all technical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Prepare operational reports and provide technical recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, ICT, and administrative departments for efficient workflow and system integration.
