ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a leading Engineering and Construction firm with a robust portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects across Nigeria. As we expand our operations in the Federal Capital Territory, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abuja.

We are looking for a technical expert who combines strong design capabilities with practical site management experience. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, strictly adhering to timelines and budgetary constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design & Planning: Lead the design, structural analysis, and planning of civil engineering projects (building structures, and drainage systems) using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
• Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle from conception to completion, ensuring all phases align with client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality control procedures for all construction materials and workmanship.
• Contract Administration: Prepare, review, and manage contracts, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and government regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve on-site technical challenges, and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng. or Bsc.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Certification: Must be a fully registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Active practicing license is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years post-graduation experience in civil engineering, with a significant focus on infrastructure or building construction projects.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Must possess strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
