Maintenance Manager at Candel Company

Description of Responsibilities / Functions

• The Maintenance Manager will lead a holistic approach to Engineering Projects, Capex, Maintenance, Utilities & Asset Care. He will play a key role in achieving the site operation's targets and managing cost.
• Responsible for all operations in the Engineering department. Driving compliance, enforcing technical/functional adherence/compliance, reporting & maintaining engineering standards in the factory to achieve set plant efficiencies.
• Responsible for Engineering cost management, driving continuous improvement and cost reduction within Engineering using World Class Manufacturing tools.
• Responsible for Capability Development within Engineering.
• Drive Compliance with Global Risk Management Standards within the Engineering department.
• Responsible for all Safety, Health and Environmental related to projects and improve & maintain all systems and standards
• Identify maintenance improvement opportunities through in-depth analysis and strong stakeholder relationships.
• Manage Capital Expenditure and lead Capital projects
• To maintain and ensure adherence to company standards and all statutory and legislative requirements.
• To develop an efficient engineering plan in line with the site plan and KPI’s, including the full management and development of a team of engineers.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a minimum of 2nd class upper Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Candidates with about 6 years experience in Maintenance and project management, experience in a reputable FMCG or Chemical Industry.
• An experience in production management and coren registration will be an added advantage.
