    Loan Officer (Fintech)

    Job Overview:

    • We are seeking diligent and customer-focused Loan Officers to evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of loan applications. The Loan Officer will play a critical role in helping clients access financial services while minimizing risk for the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Actively source potential clients through fieldwork, referrals, and digital channels.
    • Interview loan applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans.
    • Evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants by processing loan applications and financial information.
    • Perform risk assessments and analysis to determine loan terms and interest rates.
    • Present loan proposals to management for approval where required.
    • Monitor and manage a portfolio of existing loans to ensure timely repayment and resolve defaults when necessary.
    • Advise clients on financial products, terms, and repayment plans.
    • Maintain accurate records of loan applications, approvals, rejections, and disbursements.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide excellent customer service throughout the loan process.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a loan officer, credit analyst, or similar role (experience in microfinance, fintech, or traditional banking is a plus).
    • Strong understanding of lending procedures, credit risk analysis, and financial documentation.
    • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • High attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with loan management software (LMS) is an advantage.
