    Live-in Chef (Dietetics or Nutrition)

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and health-conscious Live-in Chef with a background in Dietetics or Nutrition to join our household in Lekki. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing delicious, balanced meals tailored to specific dietary needs, supporting health goals, and ensuring optimal nutrition. This is a live-in position that requires a professional who values discretion, organization, and culinary creativity.

    Key Responsibilities
    Meal Planning & Preparation:

    • Design weekly menus based on dietary goals, health conditions, or preferences.
    • Prepare three nutritious meals daily and healthy snacks as required.
    • Ensure variety, freshness, and quality in all meals.

    Nutritional Guidance:

    • Assess dietary needs and provide expert advice on healthy eating.
    • Monitor portion sizes, calorie intake, and nutritional balance.
    • Adapt recipes to manage weight, food allergies, or specific medical conditions.

    Kitchen Management:

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
    • Shop for groceries or manage the household grocery list within budget.
    • Ensure proper food storage, label perishables, and minimize waste.

    Record Keeping:

    • Track meal schedules, dietary adjustments, and any food-related health reactions.
    • Maintain an inventory of pantry items and suggest replenishments.

    Requirements

    • Degree or Certification in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Culinary Arts (with a health focus).
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a personal or private chef, preferably with a nutritional/dietary focus.
    • Excellent knowledge of healthy meal prep, food safety, and dietary trends.
    • Ability to cook across a variety of cuisines with a health-conscious approach.
    • Strong communication, planning, and time management skills.
    • High level of personal hygiene, discretion, and professionalism.
    • Must be willing to live-in full-time (private accommodation will be provided).

    Preferred Qualities:

    • Passionate about wellness, fitness, and holistic living.
    • Experience working with families or high-profile clients.
    • Creative with food presentation and open to feedback.
    • Calm, flexible, and respectful of household routines and boundaries.
