Are you passionate about music and intellectual property? The Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) is seeking a proactive and resourceful Licensing Executive to build and maintain licensing partnerships while ensuring the lawful use of musical works and sound recordings across various platforms.
Responsibilities
License Acquisition and Management: Proactively engage with broadcasters, digital platforms, event organizers, and businesses to secure and manage licensing agreements.
Revenue Optimization: Identify and pursue opportunities to maximize licensing revenue and ensure equitable royalties for rights holders.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with licensees, addressing their needs and providing expert guidance on copyright compliance.
Contract Administration: Draft, review, and finalize licensing agreements to ensure clarity, compliance, and mutual understanding.
Compliance Monitoring: Track the use of licensed content, enforce copyright protections, and ensure adherence to agreements.
Market Research and Reporting: Analyze industry trends, compile detailed licensing activity reports, and provide insights for.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Music Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in licensing, sales, marketing, business development, or rights management is an advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Competent using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Passion for music and the creative industries is a plus.
