This is a full-time role for a Legal Officer based in Lagos.
The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing the company in legal matters.
The Legal Officer will also be responsible for conducting legal research, managing legal risks, and providing guidance on corporate governance matters.
Collaboration with various departments within the company to ensure that legal requirements are met will be part of the day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
Legal expertise in corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance
Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple legal matters and work under pressure
Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and relevant legal qualifications
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Membership in a professional legal body or bar association is a plus
Prior experience in the real estate or infrastructure sectors is advantageous
