Legal and Compliance Analyst at FCSL Asset Management Company

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provide legal advisory support to the company and management on all matters 
• Conduct thorough legal research on various legal matters, including statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents
• Analyze and interpret legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court rulings
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
• Maintain and update legal files and databases
• Manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines for the legal team
• Advise on the interpretation of laws and regulations, monitoring any amendments to them and updating management on the implications of such
• Assist in draft and review of contracts
• Assist in reviewing all offering/investment memoranda
• Monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly
• Prepare periodic reports such as weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually as required/delegated.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

• BL, LLB 
• 4- 5 years\' experience in commercial law firms or in-house financial services.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent writing skills
• Legal drafting and contract negotiation skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Decisiveness and ability to work with minimal supervision  
• Adaptability and Attention to detail  
• Commercial awareness
