    Learning and Development Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • A Technical Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator plans, organizes, and supports technical training, bridging skill gaps by identifying needs, creating/sourcing programs (e.g., software, operations), managing logistics (scheduling, materials), tracking progress, and reporting on effectiveness for technical teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Needs Analysis: Collaborate with technical managers and staff to identify specific technical skill gaps and training requirements.
    • Program Coordination: Schedule, manage logistics (venues, tech), and administer technical training sessions and workshops.
    • Content Development/Sourcing: Assist in creating or sourcing technical training materials, potentially involving eLearning tools or external vendors.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with technical leads, IT, HR, trainers, and participants to ensure smooth program delivery.
    • Technical Onboarding: Oversee technical induction for new hires, ensuring they grasp essential tools and processes.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of completed technical training, certifications, and skill development.
    • Evaluation & Reporting: Track training effectiveness, analyze feedback, and report on program impact to management.
    • Technical Support: Leverage and potentially train on learning technologies (e.g., LMS, authoring tools).

    Key Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication (written/oral) to explain technical concepts.
    • Understanding of technical operations or specific industry (e.g., production, IT).
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • Ability to work with diverse technical stakeholders and learners.

    Focus Areas:

    • Technical Skills: Training on software, machinery, operational procedures, safety, or new technologies.
    • Operational Alignment: Ensuring training directly supports technical operations and business objectives.
    • Continuous Improvement: Driving ongoing skill enhancement within technical departments.
