Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Officer to join our organization's IT team. The IT Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining our company's IT infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT systems.

Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform regular maintenance on computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Monitor system logs and security alerts to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
• Assist employees with IT-related problems, including hardware and software issues.
• Create and maintain user accounts and access permissions.

Network Management:

• Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure a stable and secure network environment.
• Implement and manage network security protocols and policies.

Software and Hardware Procurement:

• Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades or replacements as needed.

Data Backup and Recovery:

• Implement and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical company data.
• Test data recovery processes regularly to ensure reliability.

Cybersecurity:

• Monitor for security breaches and take proactive measures to protect the organization from cyber threats.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity best practices and implement security policies.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Create user guides and manuals to assist employees in IT-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) would be a plus.
• Proven experience working in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and office productivity software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
