Internal Control Manager at Genesis Group

An Internal Control Manager designs, implements, and monitors an organization\'s internal control framework to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and safeguard assets. They audit operational/financial processes, identify control deficiencies, and collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions. This role drives efficiency and transparency across company operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Develops, documents, and maintains internal control policies, procedures, and frameworks to prevent errors or fraud.
• Risk & Compliance Assessment: Identifies financial and operational risks, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Audit & Testing: Conducts regular audits and testing of controls (e.g., segregation of duties, access controls) to assess effectiveness.
• Remediation & Reporting: Reports control deficiencies to senior management and the audit committee, while working with process owners to implement improvements.
• Documentation: Ensures robust documentation of processes for compliance and audit trails. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA is often an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in auditing, internal controls, or risk management.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), IFRS, or US GAAP.
• Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to work across departments
