The Internal Auditing Assistant will provide direct support to the Internal Auditor I in undertaking audits of all systems against applicable laws, legislation, regulations and company policies and procedures in accordance with the Department's audit plans.
Responsibilities
Support internal audit manager to execute internal audit plan.
Perform site inspection and present a cogent report on observations.
Vet financial document.
Ensure adherence to organization policy
Carry out investigation as directed by the internal audit manager
Follow up on periodic stock count and provide feedback.
Monitor site stock, stock in transit, and Material and
transfers and note observations accordingly.
Verify store inbound and outbound activity, match materials
request to outbound delivery note, while verifying inbound, wish physical item versus waybill and supplier purchase order.
Verify petty cash retirement before reimbursement.
Assist in carrying out risk assessment task.
Escalate weaknesses, operations threats to internal audit manager regularly.
Draft weekly reports to internal audit manager.
Educational Requirements / Skills
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant Degree
3 - 5 years work experience.
Work experience as an Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
