  • The Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies is Nigerias apex Institution for research and advanced studies in law. It was a brainchild of the legal academic community established in March 1979. One of the main ideas in founding the Institute was to establish it as the centre for advanced legal research for all the Nigerian universities with Faculties of Law, so that all postgraduate work could be undertaken there under the joint auspices of the most experienced and learned academic lawyers available in the country, whether indigenous or foreign. The Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies hereby announces the process of filling the vacant position in the Institute.     Institute Bursar

    Responsibilities

    • The Institute Bursar is the Financial Officer of the Institute and is responsible to the Director-General for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the Institute.

    Requirements

    • Candidate must possess a good honours degree, not below second class lower division, in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from a recognised university and must hold professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, ANAN, CPA, ACMA, or ACCA.
    • Should possess post-qualification cognate experience and be very conversant with accounting software.
    • Candidate must be ICT-compliant and should command respect while being able to carry colleagues along. The possession of higher degree(s) is/are added advantage.

    Salary & Condition of Service
    As applicable and obtainable in Nigerian public universities and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

    Tenure of Office

    • The Three (3) Principal Officers will each serve a tenure of Five (5) years.
    • Candidates seeking these offices should not be more than Fifty-Eight (58) years of age on assumption of office.
