    Innovation Business Practice Partner - SSA

    Job Description

    • Delivers on revenue goal and geographic expansion goals (expansion into SSA)
    • Consults with clients regarding their business questions and related research designs
    • Leads client meetings and handles sensitive client discussions where necessary, including conducting external presentations.
    • Initiates programs to build client satisfaction and further develop the business, by initiating meetings with new client contacts
    • Establishes high standards of client deliverable
    • Designs and estimates costs of new projects
    • Develops the Innovation Practice contributing to the design and implementation of training and development plans and programs
    • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations or business reviews
    • Attend client planning meetings and contribute by providing BASES NielsenIQ insights and solutions to the client’s business needs.
    • Develops strategic understanding of industry trends, competition and opportunities for BASES NielsenIQ

    Education and Experience

    • University Degree in Marketing, Economics or related field a must, preferred Postgraduate or MBA
    • 6+ years’ experience in Marketing Research/FMCG category
    • Strong client leadership skills
    • Knowledge and exposure to more that one market
    • Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills
    • Good organisational skills
    • Very good interpersonal skills
    • Strong business acumen and financial knowledge
    • Awareness of the clients’ needs
    • Ability to travel frequently.

    Skills:

    • Understanding of growth and brand strategy
    • Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written (and local language if required)
    • Consultative selling skills
    • Opportunity identification and development
    • Managing a complex sales process
    • Negotiating
    • Demonstrates strong leadership and client management skills
    • Strong business and financial acumen (including business environment and client)
    • Strong problem solving skills and analytically curious
    • Strategic planning and account management

    • Consultative story telling
    • Comfortable working in a digital enabled environment
    • Good understanding of Nielsen Practice Areas and the value they provide to clients.

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of marketing research
    • Knowledge of in-market data
    • Knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry.
