The ICT Officer will play a central role in maintaining the digital backbone of OYNTCDA’s operations.
The role involves managing ICT infrastructure, supporting end-users, overseeing hardware and software assets, and ensuring cybersecurity across the Agency’s systems.
The ideal candidate will support both operational and strategic ICT needs, contributing to system reliability, data security, and the digital efficiency of cross-departmental workflows.
Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Manage and maintain the Agency’s ICT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, routers, printers, and network devices
Support the installation, configuration, and regular update of operating systems and applications
Implement and monitor data backup, recovery systems, and cybersecurity protocols
Maintain ICT asset inventory and coordinate ICT-related procurement in collaboration with relevant departments
Assist in the deployment and administration of web platforms, email systems, and internal productivity tools
Provide technical input on ICT requirements for new projects, office expansions, and digital transformation initiatives
Document and update ICT-related policies, user manuals, and procedures
Liaise with external service providers and vendors on ICT-related services and support contracts
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in ICT support, systems administration, or network management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking tools, and endpoint security software
Working knowledge of hardware maintenance, internet configurations, and local area networks (LAN/WAN)
Relevant ICT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL) are desirable
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented approach.
